For most of my life, I’ve been drawn to working with my hands, especially carpentry and woodworking. Following my retirement from a 45-year career in juvenile justice, I’ve refocused my energies to rekindle these passions. In particular, enhancing my woodworking skills and evolving a growing sense of artistry are my current commitments. For me, woodworking presents endless opportunities to continually improve and evolve — from choosing unique woods and grain patterns; to mastering each type of joint; and, finally, to perfecting my finishing techniques to fully enhance each wood’s inherent beauty — woodworking provides me with infinite creative possibilities. In addition to woodworking, I enjoy spending time with my wife Erin, our dogs Lucky and Shadow, cycling, hiking, gardening, and reading.
