PRESS RELEASE

Support the Idaho Humanities Council Through the Doug Martindale Art Sale
In Loving Memory of Doug Martindale — Help Us Preserve His Legacy and Support the Humanities in Idaho
In 2025, we lost a beloved artist, Doug Martindale — a master of landscape pastel paintings whose work captured the beauty and spirit of the Pacific Northwest. To honor his memory, his family partnered with The Art Spirit Gallery to sell his remaining works, and we are excited to offer the community a special opportunity to participate.
How You Can Help
We are offering 36 stunning original artworks, including pastel paintings and prints, at 50-75% off retail prices. All proceeds will go directly to the Idaho Humanities Council, supporting their programs that promote education, culture, and community across Idaho. See the attached worksheet to view the works.

Doug’s art reflects our shared Idaho heritage—showcasing nature’s beauty and telling stories that unite us. Supporting this campaign isn’t just about acquiring breathtaking art at an incredible value; it’s about making a lasting difference for the arts and humanities in Idaho during challenging times.
