Work by Mel McCuddin ~ A Fire Sale
The Art Spirit Gallery is proud to announce the FINAL INVENTORY SALE from the Mel McCuddin studio, which will launch online on September 14 at 11 a.m.
Many of these pieces have never been viewed outside of Mel’s studio. Mason McCuddin, Mel’s son and the collection administrator, meticulously searched every corner, framing and cataloging all the sketches and works found.
How The Sale Works
- How To View Works
- While some work will be available in the gallery, this is primarily an online sale. Works can be viewed through an online catalog, published on the gallery website, and promoted through email and social media outlets.
- How To Buy Works
- All work will be offered at a 25% discount.
- You can click on the link in the online catalog and be directed to the website to purchase the work online.
- Works can be purchased through our Time Payment program but must have a minimum of 50% for a down payment.
Why A Fire Sale?
The family is prepared to conclude the business side of McCuddin’s collection, and any unsold inventory after this sale will be returned to them. Mel McCuddin once casually remarked that he wanted his remaining artwork to be burned in a bonfire once he was no longer around. He had a reputation for being detached from his creations, believing that his legacy was genuinely reflected in the joy of collectors displaying his pieces on their walls. This notion is where the idea of a bonfire originated, foreshadowing the artwork's future.
