Through making these pots I have reigned in my creativity in order to meditate upon my core values. I have a great love for life on earth. I also have great concerns about the interplay between humans and wildlife. Many of the subjects I choose to portray are as a result of encounters or strong feelings that give rise to my desire to honor, examine, or simply remember.

Having grown up in Bozeman Montana, I have seen an explosion in development. I have seen places I love ruined by the influx of people. My hope is that we can learn to
balance our existence with that of the natural world. I love working with clay and trying all sorts of surface treatments, firing methods, and clay bodies. Within the scope of my format, there are endless possibilities for experimentation and mastery of techniques.

Although my pots are ultimately a result of my core values, I believe that the viewer should have freedom to explore multifaceted concepts in their regards. I like to think that the meanings of these pots are ever-changing. They have no set purpose, but could be useful as a storage vessel or something like that.
