BIOGRAPHY

Kate Fisher
Kate Fisher is an artist, educator, and storyteller whose work explores the connections forged through handmade objects. Her interest lies in how tangible items—pottery, ceramics, and other craft forms—serve as bridges between people, cultures, and stories. She has been recognized with awards like a Metropolitan Regional Arts Council Grant and has participated in notable exhibitions, including the national touring show Crowns, and the St. Paul American Craft Council Emerging Artist program.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Kate is passionate about community and the outdoors. She works with the Loppet Foundation to promote outdoor connections and has served as a professor and studio technician at St. Olaf College. Residing in St. Louis Park, she balances family life with her creative practice, integrating her love of nature, sports, and community into her art. Her ceramic pieces and storytelling aim to foster human bonds and encourage a deeper appreciation for craft and shared experiences.
