To Know My Creator and His Creation

Painting an image of the soul's journey to God

I see art and creation as an act of the soul revealing its deepest understanding, passion, and perspective, which cannot always be spoken in words, so it is then created by the hand, and its meaning continually evolves. I can’t always explain the reason for my paintings with words/ the tongue, so I hope the painting will speak to you in some form.

Self-taught since childhood, A gift that God has given me, and I must give it back to Him so He may use it for His purpose. A journey to wander into the vast beauty of God's handiwork, to ponder and study

My art is to be a journey. I may not know where the path leads, but I will embrace whatever comes my way: Up the mountain, down the valley, along the sea, into the desert. I use nature as a form of language, symbolic and poetic. Nature is not always easy to read or find its philosophical meanings that mirror our inner lives, but I can pray that God shows me the answers. Perhaps my art is to help lift me up; perhaps my art is to help others find meaning in observing the complexities and power of nature.

My art is not just a personal journey but a beacon of hope for others. I hope to inspire you to recognize the unique talents and abilities that God has designed for each of us.

Primarily an oil painter, I create all my paintings on wood panels. Their hard surface allows for more detail and will let me see the grain of the wood flow in and out of my painting. Most of my work comes from the imagination. To keep creating, I must wander around in nature to ponder and understand the world and its ways.
