About the Artists:

Michael Horswill is a tenured art professor at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene and has inspired students there for the past 13 years. Horswill earned his MFA from the University of Idaho in 2002. He recently completed a large public art sculpture installed in one of the new round-a-bouts in the Educational Corridor in Coeur d’Alene. Michael has also shown at the Jundt Art Museum at Gonzaga University, Ridenbaugh Gallery at the University of Idaho and the Jacob Lawrence Gallery in Seattle. We have had the pleasure of representing him since 2002.

Tyree Riggs is an emerging young artist whose favorite medium is metal. She has been welding since she was 16. Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Tyree made her debut on the local art scene back in 2006 at the age of 21 when she created two large copper fountains for the Fountains of Wishes Community Art Project. She has since been commissioned and completed 3 more large public art sculptures for the Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission including the recent TriceraRack, bike rack for Sorensen Magnate School for the Arts & Humanities. We are excited to offer Tyree’s first featured show at The Art Spirit Gallery.

This exhibition will be part of Art from the Heart, the annual fall arts celebration brought to you by The Coeur d’Alene Arts & Culture Alliance.
